Cindy & I (Phoebe) are running a beginner-friendly caving trip to B4-5 in Bungonia on Saturday 26th September, this trip is open for women and gender-queer club members, so if that’s you keep reading!
This trip is all about breaking down some of the barriers to getting involved in caving and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for women & gender-queer club members.
If you’ve never caved before or just enjoy a great time underground, this is the perfect trip to embrace the worm life with zero judgement or pressure and squeeze through as many or as few passages as you like. Fun fact: troglobites are animals that live their entire lives in cave systems and have evolved and adapted to thrive in these environments (no eyes, no colour, long legs etc), in your comment let us know which animal you’d least like to have these adaptations.

The photo above is of me in an optional (but great fun) little squeeze in B4-5!
B4-5 is a very beginner-friendly cave but you’ll still need to bring a few things…
Items marked with a * can be borrowed from the gear cupboard
In your comment let us know:
- Your caving experience or other outdoor experience
- If you’re nervous/worried about anything to do with caving (helps us to help you)
- If you have a car or need a lift & where you’ll be leaving from
If you have any questions feel free to send myself or Cindy a message & we’ll get back to you in non-caving hours :))
See you there!
