    • Contact Police and/or Ambulance on 000
    • If on or around campus, UNSW Campus Security in available 24/7 on 9385 6666

  2. Any UNSWOC member who experiences or witnesses: sexual misconduct, gendered violence, assault, or any other behaviour perceived to be unsafe or likely to cause discomfort, may report the incident the UNSWOC Executive team.
    • You may report the incident to whichever Exec member with whom you feel most comfortable. You do not need to speak to a specific Exec member (such as the President, or the Exec member that ran the event where the alleged misconduct occurred).
    • This includes incidents which occur at UNSWOC events (such as Club Trips) and UNSWOC-related events (such as a party attended by members of the club).
  3. You have no obligation to speak with anyone from UNSWOC Exec or any UNSWOC members in general. Should you feel more comfortable, there are a number of alternative avenues available for reporting the incident, including but not limited to: Arc, UNSW, NSW Police (Online or 131 444).
    • Even if the alleged incident did not occur at a Club event, the scope of Arc and UNSW’s reporting systems are broad, and there is always value in making a report even if it is unclear whether the incident falls within the jurisdiction of Arc or UNSW.
    • All incidents of gendered violence, sexual misconduct and assault can be reported to NSW Police, independent of whether the incident occurred at a Club or University event.
  4. The Exec have an obligation to report any incidents of misconduct occurring at an UNSWOC event to Arc. However, the identity of the complainant, alongside any identifying aspects of the incident, can be kept confidential.
  5. The Exec have some powers to respond to allegations of misconduct by UNSWOC members, as defined by the UNSWOC Constitution. However, the Club and Executive teams' primary role in the response and reporting process is one of support and referral.
  6. Further support: While members of the Exec with certified Mental Health First Aid training may be able to provide initial support, additional and ongoing support is available from a range of sources including:

*This page has been written with a focus on sexual assault and gendered violence but the same processes and guidelines, and similar support services, are applicable for any form of egregious misconduct in the context of the club

**A Note on/for Exec: There is a much more detailed guide on our roles and responsibilities in in the incident response process under the Exec banner and on the Drive under Constitution.
