We are in need of some beginner cavers who would be keen to help be crash test dummies for our caving trip leaders in training on Saturday 11th!
It will be a horizontal caving trip (no vertical SRT rope work). However there will be some crawling, climbing around rocks, scrambling, and staring into the abyss.
You will need:
- Helmet (can be borrowed from the club)
- Headlight + spare batteries / backup headlight
- Sensible shoes to cave in that will get muddy / dirty
- Clothes you can get dirty in. Tradie top / bottoms are a great choice. The club has a limited selection of overalls that can be borrowed
- Gardening gloves
- Small packed lunch
- Water
- Jacket etc
- Change of clothes and clean shoes for the car
- Towel + shampoo etc (there are hot showers at Bungonia)
- Big floppy sunhat
- Caving sunglasses
- Plastic bag to put all your dirty clothes in
