Suitable for L2 canyoners and L2 aspirants.

A run through Danae Brook (ropewiki.com/Danae_Brook_Canyon) on Saturday… and Sunday will be played by ear depending on how tired the team is, but will probably Box Creek (ropewiki.com/Box_Creek_Canyon) or Dione Dell (ropewiki.com/Dione_Dell)

Trip is very weather and water level dependant and plans can change due to this.

You will be expected to bring your A game for this trip… it’s all about teamwork, communication, efficiency and moving!

Saturday – Box Creek canyon details:

 

Sunday – Danae Brook canyon details:

  • Start time will be 07:00 sharp from the Boyd River campground.
  • Parking for the canyon will be at -33.9948, 150.0878
  • Expect the day to last anywhere between 8 to 12 hours
  • We will be taking the climbing exit.
  • You are expected to have mechanical ascension gear (and know how to use it)
  • We will have the multi-pitch climb rigged with multiple static ropes to aide simwltaious ascent (hence the need for mechanical ascension gear)
  • Climbing shoes are not required.
  • All party members are expected to have a high decibel whistle (100db or higher e.g. Foxc 40) and a “modified 8” canyoning descender
  • Party members must also carry a WATERPROOF headlamp as we plan to go through a feature called “The Carwash”… a cave-like structure with underground waterfall
  • Bring good vibes and snacks to share
  • Failure to bring the required gear (or snacks ๐Ÿ˜‚) may result in exclusion from the trip
