In memory of Angela Ha
The UNSWOC community is invited to come to Blackheath Memorial Park for an afternoon picnic to celebrate and remember Angela Ha, a much loved member of our community who lost her life after falling while trad climbing at Organ Pipes at Arapiles in Victoria on April 27.
Angela joined the club in 2021, was a dedicated trip leader and was on the Exec for 3 years in Social media and Events roles. Her joy of the outdoors, enthusiasm and stoke was infectious, she brought out the best in everyone around her and meant so much to so many in our community. Her passing leaves a gaping hole in all our hearts. I have heard so many stories of how Angela impacted club members and this event seeks to be a beautiful opportunity for us to continue to share those stories.
Photo Book
We are collecting memories and photos of Ange to collate for both the creation of a photobook to be gifted to the Ha family along with the making of a memorial post on the website. To be able to collate and print in time please submit your memories by 6pm Wednesday the 27th. https://forms.gle/Yi3Nj2PT9rjCTXom6
Picnic Event – Sunday 31st May
The club will provide afternoon tea and a slackline. Attendees are invited to bring games, balls, frisbees, etc.
Signups are open to current AND former* UNSWOC members. Please sign up so we know numbers for food.
The park is easily accessible by train if that’s your mode of transport of choice otherwise I am sure there will be lots of carpooling if you ask around.
It would be great to see folks out climbing together in the morning before congregating in the afternoon.
