[UNSWOC + Wandersoc] Bouddi Explorer Hike

End of term got you feeling swamped? Need a nice scenery change, with some beach and bushland!?

🥳🥳 Last year’s event was such a hit that Wandersoc and UNSWOC are collaborating again to bring you a beginner-friendly hike through the stunning Bouddi National Park. Ever since I visited, I’ve wanted to take a club trip here – and what better opportunity than this!

This walk covers pretty much everything there is to see in the area, featuring lovely secluded beaches, views to the ocean, little patches of forest, super cool rocks, and more.

It has a total length of about 15km and elevation gain of 200m, and I expect it to take about 6 hours. Route map here: Week 9 Bouddi National Park with Outdoors Club | Wandersoc AllTrails

This trail will require good fitness due to its length!!!!!! however we will be going at a very relaxed pace. If you have some prior walking experience and want to build up stamina, this is a great chance 💃🏼

What to bring:

• Sturdy shoes!
• Small-medium sized backpack to hold your belongings
• At least 2L of water **super important to have enough water!!**
• Lunch and snacks for the day
• A hat
• Any personal medication you may need
• A light jacket (check the weather)

When and Where:

• Saturday 1st August (end of week 9)
• Meet at 10:15am Palm Beach Wharf
  • The ferry leaves at 10:30 and the next one is after midday. Do not be late.
  • You will see the Wandersoc group at the ferry wharf.
• Do not drive: take a bus from the city. (why?)

  Why can't I drive?

  We start the walk in Wagstaffe and finish in Woy Woy.
  If you must drive, PARK AT ETTALONG WHARF, and join our ferry at 10:50am. Do NOT park in Wagstaffe as the last ferry leaves at 5pm and you will not be able to return to your car.
