“You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly”
Hello!
The title is partially clickbait; but you may be aware that we are camping on a private campground this time for Boree Log.
A special benefit of this is that Matt’s property also covers a section of amazing bushland with some walks that you can do – but only if you’re camping there and with his permission.
Lucky for you, we’re camping there and I’ve gotten his permission 🥳
The reason for the title is that I frankly have no idea what we’re getting ourselves into. You can find some pictures on the HipCamp listing.

As such, I am restricting this trip to people with prior hiking experience. You may get wet feet, we may be close to cliff edges, we may rock scramble, I don’t know.
After that, depending on when we finish, we can have an explore of the cliffs on the western side of Medlow Bath. Details: Exploring the historic Hydro Majestic walking tracks | Hiking the World
All this to say that you’ll have a great time, I’m sure of it.
What to bring:
- Sturdy shoes! They may get wet. You will need good grip.
- Small-medium sized backpack to hold your belongings
- About 2L of water **super important to have enough water!!**
- Lunch and snacks for the day
- A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
- Any personal medication you may need
In the comment, please tell me your prior hiking experience, and your favourite type of fish.
