For those with a blossoming interest in the botanical, biological, and ecological, we present the Sunday bore log botanical extravaganza. Hosted by yours truly Margot Mason and Leo Lovesy the clubs foremost shit talking amateur botanists, this hike will feature hours of knowledge on the basis of plants, their edibility and their beautiful functions. Alternatively we may instead weather permitting (cold and rainy weather in the week before) stretch our fungal knowledge and wander around the surrounding pine forests exploring for pine mushrooms.
There’s no requirement that you have any understanding of plant science or the wonders of Australian nature but we do have some requirements of you for this hike.
– Sun protection
– Comfy shoes
– Water (2 litres)
– Lunch
– If you have any cool guide books bring them along!
If you are as excited as we are for the first of our annual boree log botanical/fungal trips please let us know in the comments
– Where you sit on the spectrum of “massively stoked to check out cool plants” to “I just want to haul my hungover ass back to Sydney on Sunday and this trip seems like the least strenuous” (which is okay too).
– How much dirt did you eat as a child and how many allergies do you have today if any (these are related and its really important I know thank you <3)
– If you have a car, where you will be headed back to on Sunday night (to make sure well be okay with lifts)

You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.
