SUNDAY BL – Beginner – Canyoning Lower Macquarie Pass

Brendan and I are running a canyon at Lower Macquarie Pass this Boree Log (Canyon description here). Macquarie Pass is a very exciting day full of abseils, slides and a few jumps!

WHAT TO BRING:

• Dry bag*
• Helmet*
• Harness*
• Descender (figure 8)*
• Safety Sling*
• 2 x locking carabiners*
• Enclosed shoes that you can walk in while wet
• Warm socks (not cotton!!)
• Wetsuit*
• Shorts to go over and protect your wetsuit
• Water (at least 2L)
• Headtorch
• Emergency blanket (can be purchased from the club for $5)
• Warm clothes (bring a dry set of thermals)
• Backpack to carry stuff in and you’re happy to get wet
• Food to last the whole day (including some snacks to share)

*Can borrow from the club for FREE. Gear will be organised at Boree Log.

• What gear you have/need
• If you have a car, the number of spots and roughly where you are going to
• If you’ve done an early vote for the Referendum (only applicable to Australian Citizens)

You will need to be signed up the main boree log event to come on this trip!
