Oli and I will be running a “dry” canyoning trip down to Jugglers on Sunday!
This is going to be a super awesome trip! Jugglers is a super pleasant canyon near the Grand Canyon at Medlow Bath. We will meet around 9am, expect to finish by 4pm.
“Dry” in this context means no wetsuits required. You will get at least knee-deep wet though!

Being June, it will be a bit chilly – so bring warm clothes. e.g. Thermals beneath your clothes with a rain jacket on top.
What to Expect:
- Some bush bashing and lots of walking up and down
- Abseiling and heights!
- Beautiful slot canyons
- Knee to waist deep wading

Please make you sure bring ALL required gear. Some gear is available to borrow from the gear cupboard.
Gear available to borrow from the club:
- Harness
- Helmet
- 3x locking carabiners
- 1x Figure 8 / Descender
- 1x Safety sling
- Optional Drybag (in case you drop your bag somehow)
Other gear you MUST bring:
- Backpack that can fit ALL your gear (30L+)
- Clothing:
- Enclosed shoes with good grip, suitable for water and bushwalking
- Wool / neoprene socks
- Thermals and raincoat!!!
- NO COTTON! (this includes socks, shirts, pants, undies, etc)
- Quick drying pants – they will get wet.
- Lunch, 2L of water, Snacks
- Headtorch
- Emergency blanket – (can buy from Gear Cupboard for $5 or from chemists, shops, etc)
- Medication (asthma puffer, Epipen etc)
