Beginner sport climbing – SATURDAY

Last event of the term, Brendon, Kieran. Jeffrey and I are going climbing to Bangor West (Sutherland)!

Since this is our last trip we wanted to organise an inclusive trip, so 15 of us will head to Bangor West, a beginner friendly crag 30 min drive from UNSW. As always, drivers and people with cars will get preference, so mention if you have a car.

For this trip you will need:

• Climbing gear: helmet, harness, climbing shoes, 1 ATC, 1 locking carabiner (everything can be borrowed from the gear cupboard, or bring your own if you have) + chalk.
• Non-climbing gear: food and water for the day, sport clothes, a warm jacket, suncreen, personal medicines if needed.

We will set up top ropes so no outdoors climbing experience is required. If you are working on your lead climbing skills, knots or cleaning, say so in the comments and we will get one of the trip leaders to supervise you/give feedback/teach you, so you will have the opportunity to work on these skills further.
