SUNDAY BL – BEGINNER CLIMBING AT Medlow Bath
Brendon and I (Jeffrey) will be leading a beginner friendly climbing trip to Medlow Bath. Medlow Bath is a beginner friendly crag with multiple climbs graded from 14 all the way to 23 if you are looking to challenge yourself. So if you are planning to recover from a hangover, this is the trip for you. For more info, have a look here: https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/blue-mountains/medlow-bath.

The plan is to drive from the campground where we are camping on Saturday night (Cathedral Reserve at Mount Wilson) to the crag, where we will set up top ropes for everyone to climb. No climbing experience is required. If you are a competent lead climber and lead belayer, you´re welcome to do your own thing. It will be an awesome day out and you will need:

  • Climbing gear: A harness*, a helmet* and locking carabiner* attached to an ATC* (* = could be borrowed from the club). Optional but recommended chalk bag and climbing shoes.
  • For clothing: Sport clothes. It can get quite hot or quite chilly, so be prepared for both.
  • For eating: 2L of water, food or snacks, chocolate for the trip leaders please.
  • Other gear: Sunscreen, medicines if you need them (asthma puffer, etc).

If you have any questions message Brendon or me (Jeffrey Kwan) on facebook. Write down YOUR EXPERIENCE in the comments, what gear do you have, whether you have A CAR and what is your least favourite fruitWe will make sure everyone has a SPOT IN A CAR TO GET BACK TO SYDNEY. See you there!

PS: You must be approved for Boree Log to attend. c:
