Every year the Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Squad organises and runs the NSW Emergency Services Wilderness Navigation Shield or NavShield. The location will be announced the week before the event.
This is essentially a rogaine that attracts a lot of rescue entities (SES, VRA, Police rescue, Ambulance, Armed Forces).
There is a ONE-DAY EVENT (8:45 am Saturday to 7:30 pm Saturday)
and a TWO-DAY EVENT (8:45 am Saturday to 2:00 pm Sunday)
Early entries ($25 off per team) end on May 15, otherwise entries close on June 23.
Cost is a little steeper than other rogaines: $95 per team + $27.50 per person – A team of 4 would be $95 + (4 x $27.50) = $205.00 which works out to $51.25 per person.
