Haven’t been to the north side of Sydney much?
We’ll meet at Manly ferry dock at 11:00, look around the photogenic north head reserve, then snorkel at Shelly beach, one of the best snorkel sites in Sydney region.
After we get out of water, we can head for central Manly to grab some food then walk north to Dee Why via the Freshwater Boardwalk – a well built, easy path by the sea. there isn’t much from Dee Why to Mona Vale though so we’ll cover that by bus.
More beaches and headlands after getting off at Mona Vale, it will take about 3-4 hours of coastal walk to get to Palm beach, depending on how fast we are going. Aiming to get to Palm Beach by 7 and have a picnic by the sunset, then you can take L90 bus from Palm beach straight back to central.
Notes:
This is a VERY safe walk, unless jumping off a cliff is your kind of fun 🙂
Fitness: absolutely beginner friendly, if you can walk on flat ground without panting, you are in!
Bring sun protection, you’ll still turn red but won’t become a lobster!
Shoes: anything except barefoot
bring snorkelling equipments, if you don’t have a set don’t stress too much, we can always swap around so everyone has a go
If you are coming, DO confirm with me whether it’s running the night before @0431 895 316, or find me on Facebook
