G’day Legends,
With all the rain, I’m planning to get on the river on sunday and would love to have you along. We are looking at running either the kangaroo or Nepean river depending on levels. Both rivers have back to back sections which will allow experienced paddlers to paddle the upper section, and for novice paddlers to paddle the lower section with the whole crew.
This trip is suitable for those who have done some whitewater kayaking. Pending river choice and group size, I may be able to take 1-2 total beginners who have some kayaking experience. If we have not paddled together, please detail your kayaking experience in the sign up comment. If we have paddled together, please tell me the name of the river gauge used to assess river level for paddling the section of the Nepean river which runs from the Old Maldon Bridge to Douglas Park.
What gear the club can provide:
- Boat,
- paddle,
- PFD,
- helmet,
- spray deck
What you need to bring
- Warm clothes for after the river,
- wet clothes for on the river,
- wetsuit or dry top,
- shoes for wearing in the boat with good grip (NOT coral reef/water shoes) – think canyoning,
- dry bag,
- snacks,
- lunch,
- water bottle with carabiner.
