CANCELLED (RAIN) – Womxn Sport Climbing 15th June

Hey everyone,

Come join us (Amelia and Amelia 🙂 ) on a beginner friendly sport climbing trip on Sat 15th June for womxn and nonbinary folks. Location TBD as we monitor the weather but it will be Blue Mountains or Sydney. We will arrange car pooling as usual so please let us know in the sign up comment if you have a car and how many people you can take.

It will be an all day event so please pack accordingly.

You will need to bring:

• At least 2L water
• Food and snacks for the day
• Warm clothes!! (jacket/jumper and possibly raincoat)
• Helmet **
• Harness **
• Climbing shoes **
• Chalk (optional)
• Belay device (eg ATC) **
• Locking carabiner **
• Any personal medication
• Backpack to carry all the above ^

Items with an asterisk ** can be borrowed from the gear cupboard on Thursday night 5-6pm if you don’t have your own. You will need to make a gear booking through this website under the gear tab. Since this is a club trip there will be no rental fee (will still be a deposit) so all participants who are accepted on the trip will be given the discount code.

If you’d like to come along, in the comment box below, please put your climbing experience, your messenger/facebook profile link (so we can get in contact with you if you’re approved), if you have a car, how many car spots you have and where you’d be driving from. Lastly, let us know the name of a woman or non-binary person who inspires you. Get in quick!
