Whungee Wheengee Canyon
Join Scott and Luke on a canyon/chasm with some technical abseils and beautiful scenery!
This is a more difficult canyon than the others offered so at this stage please sign up just if you have previous canyoning experience and feel nice and confident 🙂
What you need to know? Expect a great day canyoning for around 8+ hrs round trip, a walk up the river at the end, and a scramble to exit.
It’s gonna be a tough but super fun day! Expect cold temperatures, wetsuits are a must.

Essential gear:
- Space blanket/emergency blanket (mandatory).
- Headlamp (mandatory) w/ batteries
- Lunch/snacks and water (1.5L) for 8 hrs of potential canyoning. Fueling yourselves is essential
- Spare dry clothes/thermals/jumper/beanie
- Dry bag to keep electronics/spare clothes warm.
- Appropriate clothing – no cotton – when wet it loses heat fast! Think hiking clothes with boardies/swim shorts to protect wetsuit from damage.
- Shoes with good grip and suitable for water – trainers with warm socks.
- Wet-suit (BYO if you have one, else borrow from Boree Log Gear Pool)
- Wet-suit booties/gloves (It will be cold in Autumn)
- Helmet (BYO if you have one, else borrow from Boree Log Gear Pool)
- Harness (BYO if you have one, else borrow from Boree Log Gear Pool)
- Descender/ Figure 8 and Karabiner (BYO if you have one, else borrow from Boree Log Gear Pool)
- Safety Sling and Karabiner (BYO if you have one, else borrow from Boree Log Gear Pool)
- Small backpack to keep your drybag/gear. Expect it to get wet/scratched.
- Any medication/medical devices you need.
Signups open 7am Monday 12th October. You must also be Approved for the main Boree Log Event.
