This is for anyone who is new to the club and wants/needs to learn how to abseil (and general cliff safety). Abseiling is a compulsory basic skill for a lot of outdoors activities including Climbing, Canyoning and even Kayaking if you are a total bad-ass.
There is a small abandoned quarry in Maroubra that we will be setting ropes up at. It is easy accessable from uni by bus or bike. If there is interest, I will lead a peleton from uni to the quarry on Wednesday afternoon – post up on the facebook page if you’re interested.
