You must be attending and approved for the Boree Log main event to sign up for this trip.
Note: There are two trips heading to Pipeline Canyon on the Saturday. We’ll probably be leaving second (but still early) because we’re the slightly larger group.
Wanna do some call canyoning shiz on Saturday, a bunch of abseiling and some cool rocks.

Brendon and I (Henry) will be running this awesome canyon on Boree Log – Saturday 26th. It is suited for beginner/intermediate canyoners If you want to sign up, do it here, and tell us in the comments with your current outdoors experience, car situation, what gear you already have, and your favourite place in Australia (so we know you’ve read this far!), and we will let you know who got a spot and add you to the trip ASAP.
What to bring:
- Head torch (With full batteries, it’s pitch black in the tunnel)
- Emergency blanket (You must carry one on every club canyoning trip. You can grab one from the gear cupboard or at Boree Log for $5 cash)
- Harness*
- Descender (ATC) and biner*
- Safety sling and biner*
- Prusik and biner*
- Helmet*
- Proper damn shoes. Volleys are ideal, but runners with good grip (that aren’t slippery when wet) also work. No sandals or crocs. Sandals as they are unsafe and crocs being visually horrific.
- Wool socks (to keep your wet feet warm)
- Clothing that you can hike & scramble in & that is not too cold / heavy when wet (there may be deep wades). Please do not wear jeans!
- Spare jacket / jumper in a plastic bag
- Sun protection! (sunscreen, hat)
- 2 litres of water
- Lunch & snacks (for 10hrs)
- Recommended: drybag or pastic garbage bag to keep your valuables dry in case of deep wades
—> items with a * can be borrowed from club – let us know what you need
See you down there!
