Hello!
On Saturday 30th July, Xab, Daniel, Zee and I (Cindy) will be running a beginner climbing trip to Thompson’s point at Nowra.
The plan is to arrive at a reasonable time on Sat morning and climb all day – packing up and getting out before the sun sets. We will be setting up top ropes for everyone to climb, no prior climbing experience is needed.
You will need:
- Personal climbing gear: A harness, helmet, locking carabiner, belay device/ATC, climbing shoes
- all are available at the gear shed with a deposit, no rental fee
- if you have your own gear please bring it
- For clothing: Wear clothes you are comfortable climbing in (i.e. sporty) as well as extra layers (i.e. jumpers, coats, gloves, hats) as it will be cold!
- For sustenance: 2 L of water, lunch, and snacks
- Other gear: Head torch, medicines if you need them (asthma puffer, etc), backpack to carry everything in, comfortable sneakers / hiking boots to walk down to the crag
Leave a comment to let us know your experience, where you will be driving from if you have a car, and what your favourite hot beverage type / flavour is! (I personally am very fond of Rooibos tea)
Feel free to message Xab or I on FB if you have any questions
Thanks to Sammy for the template!
