Hey all!
Want to put your sport climbing theory into practice? Next Saturday Nic, Gabe, Caity and I (Linna) will be heading to Dural, a crag in North West Sydney. Dural is a great crag to transition into outdoor lead, we can also set up top ropes for those who would like them!
We will be meeting at the end of Quarry Road, Dural at 10am on the 28th of January.
Please bring the following:
- Harness*
- Helmet*
- Climbing shoes*
- Belay device + locking carabiner* (e.g. ATC, GriGri)
- Safety sling + locking carabiner* (for cleaning routes)
- Chalk, if you have*
*Gear can be borrowed at the Gear Cupboard at UNSW during Gear Night (usually Thursday evening), please check Facebook for the latest details
And don’t forget:
- Sunscreen/hat
- 2L water (minimum!)
- Food and snacks for the day
- Sporty clothes
- Enclosed shoes for the 30 minute approach
- Warm jumper
- Daypack to fit all of the above inside
Please include in the comments: your climbing experience, whether you are able to drive and where you are driving from.
