- Canyoning gear provided at Boree Log event (If you have personal gear it is helpful to bring this along):
- Harness*
- Helmet*
- 3x locking carabiner*
- 1x Figure 8 / Descender*
- 1x Safety sling*
- Drybag*
- Wetsuit*
- Canyoning gear not provided:
- Emergency blanket (You must carry one on every club canyoning trip. You must buy one from the gear cupboard for $5 cash or most outdoor stores)
- Backpack that can fit ALL your gear in and that can get wet
- Clothing:
- Enclosed shoes with good grip (old sneakers are best!)
- Wool / neoprene socks
- Boardshorts to wear on top of wetsuit (compulsory to protect the club wetsuits)
- Thermals
- Gloves (gardening gloves are ok)
- Swimmers
- NO COTTON! (this includes socks, shirts, pants, undies, etc)
- Food:
- 2L of water.
- Lunch
- Snacks (chocolate or something nice to share!)
- Miscellaneous:
- Any personal medicine (asthma puffer, Epipen etc)
- A pair of thongs/flipflops to leave in the car (since your shoes will get wet) + towel / change of clothes
- Phone or camera for photos (optional, and only if you’re prepared for it to get wet if your drybag leaks!)

You must be approved to the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. If you get rejected then you can sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.
