To those of you familiar, no description is required. To the new people Boree Log is the clubs bi-annual trip where EVERYONE is encouraged to come out to the great outdoors to participate in Climbing, Canyoning, Bushwalking, Slack-lining or whatever takes your fancy! Never mind if you have no experience with these things, this is your chance to give it a go!
As usual for Semester 2 we’ll be heading somewhere different. This year we will be going to Newnes Campground in the Wolgan Valley (Driving Directions: https://www.google.com.au/
On Saturday night, there will be a bon-fire as well as feast prepared to sate the appetite you worked up during the day. Saturday night is also the party night, so BYO, and bring lots of it. This Boree Log will be Gender-Bender Formal themed, so guys, dust off your dresses, and girls, break out that suit and tie! Remember, no costume, no dinner. As usual, there will be Punch of Punishment, you can nominate friends here.
On Sunday we will wake up and do it all over again!
If you don’t know what to bring, here is a useful guide (http://unswoc.org/
Everyone is encouraged to collect some firewood on their way to the campsite – it helps with cooking dinner and creating a warm and sociable atmosphere. All it takes is a couple of logs from everyone and we’ll be set. Please note that collecting firewood within the national park is prohibited, so please do so before entering the park (anywhere along the road before entering the campsite).
Camping at this campsite is free, and the only amenities are long drop dunnies, so you will need to bring your own water.
No doubt you will have questions, so please read this FAQ (http://unswoc.org/
Please note that you need to join the official event (http://unswoc.org/
