What is it?
Boree Log is where we take a whole bunch of people up to the mountains for a weekend to go canyoning, climbing, and bushwalking. Most of the trips are beginner focused so there’s guaranteed to be a trip that will suit you.
Where are we going?
Check the event. Typically there are no amenities except for a toilet, (no drinking water!)
How much does it cost?
The camping and the event are free, so all you have to pay for is your transport and your food, except for Saturday night where we feed you a grand feast for free!
How do I get there?
There will be a facebook event for organising lifts. If you have a car with free spaces please post it there. Remember; the more people in your car the merrier and the lower the fuel cost, so lets get car-pooling!
What are we doing?
On Friday we do the regular drive up, set up camp, have a drink, go to bed. On Saturday everybody gets up and sets off on their trips. On Saturday night we have a big themed party and dinner will be provided on the night, including a vegetarian option. On Sunday everybody drags themselves out of bed, regretting the night before and gets herded into their activities. Before anyone sets off, all the groups will receive different cleaning/packing tasks so we leave the campsite as we found it and save the exec and helpers a lot of work.
How many trips can I do?
Trips are full day affairs, so you can do one trip on Saturday and one on Sunday.
What do I need to bring?
There is a general packing list for Boree log here which tells you what you will need for the weekend. Equipment specific to the trips you are attending can be found either in your trip description or  the relevant sports’ page.
I haven’t signed up to the club yet, but would like to come, can I reserve a spot until I join?
No, the demand for this event is very high so if you want to come to any club event you need to have a current membership giving you access to the website where you can book to attend a trip. There are a few ways to join, including online, look at the ‘Join’ page on the website for more information.
I have signed up to a Boree Log day trip but I haven’t signed up for the main Boree Log event. Can I come?
No. You need to sign up to the dedicated Boree Log event then sign up for a day trip. If you have signed up for a day trip but not the main Boree Log event your request will be removed.
Is there going to be a meeting about Boree Log?
No, everything you need to know is here on the website, or on the Facebook page. If you do have any questions that aren't covered don’t hesitate to post a question, or ask older members of the club, but please read the relevant information first.
There aren’t many trips posted for Sunday, will there be trips run?
Yes we will be running trips on Sunday. A few will be posted however there will be a bunch of impromptu events as everyone adjusts to available transport and comes to terms with their hangovers.
I’m going on an Intermediate Trip, can I borrow some gear?
No, if you are attending an intermediate trip you will be required to provide your own gear as the club gear is reserved for beginner trips.
Can I reserve gear before Boree Log?
Nope. We need all club gear returned beforehand so we can bring it up for you to use on the weekend for free!
We don’t have much in the way of sleeping bags or mats, but there will be a 12 person tent which anyone can crash in. Note: a good nights rest is not guaranteed in the “Orgy Tent”.
You will not be able to reserve gear for trips as it will go to those who most need it. If you want to guarantee that you will have equipment it would be best to supply it yourself.
Is there drinking water?
No, there might be a rainwater tank which we don't recommend drinking.
Is there phone reception?
No.
My friend did something dumb, I want to nominate them for Punch of Punishment
You can do so here. Unfortunately, if there are a large number of nominations we will not be able to get through them all.

Will I have fun?
Hell yes.
