Hi team!

Brendan and I will be running a second group down the incredible Whungee Wheengee canyon on Boree Log Saturday. It’s a brilliant mixed bag of abseiling, swims, some tricky little climb downs and a few… Cozy squeezes.

See trip notes here: http://ozultimate.com/canyoning/track_notes/whungee_wheengee.htm

It’s a big day (8-9hrs), with decent walks either side of the canyon – so general fitness is a big help. Note that this is an intermediate trip, so YOU MUST HAVE DONE A FEW ABSEILING CANYONS BEFOREHAND.

When you sign up, please leave a comment below – or shoot Brendan O’Rourke/Sid Tinney a message on facebook with previous canyoning experience.

You’ll need:

  • Wetsuit*
  • Headlamp
  • Shorts to go on top of the wetsuit (these protect the wetsuit from being damaged)
  • Sunscreen
  • Harness*
  • Belay device +locking biner*
  • Safety sling + locking biner*
  • Water (at least 2-3L)
  • Snacks (for trip leaders 😉)
  • Lunch
  • Closed shoes (that can get wet)
  • Wool socks (especially if you get cold)
  • Thermals to wear under your wetsuit (this is a cold canyon!)
  • Dry bag (to keep your things dry)

*Can be hired on the day from the club for free. Best to try and bring your own if you have them though!

Looking forward to a brilliant day. Again, please shoot us a message if you are interested/wanting to join. You won’t get a spot unless you message with experience first.

Finally, you must be attending the main Boree Log event to attend this trip!
