Howdy folks,
Next Wednesday Week 5 (9th October), we’ll be running a Trip Leading Information night.
If you’re a Trip Leader in Training (or aspiring to be one) come along to learn how we induct Trip Leaders at UNSWOC.
We’ll be presenting the UNSWOC training programs and TL levels that we’ve recently introduced. As well as important considerations for being a TL. This will be a good refresher for existing Trip Leaders as well. All are welcome!
For our diligent students, have a read of the new TL/Training Progression on the Website here
Why become a trip leader?
- It’s an awesome opportunity to give back to the club – UNSWOC’s foundation is built on keen volunteers!
- Accelerate your skills – teaching others is a great way to solidify your own knowledge
- Meet other like-minded trip leaders – every club trip is run with at least two TLs which means you get to hang out with people just as passionate about climbing/canyoning/the outdoors as you are. Plus, you may learn a new niche tip or trick you may not have come across before.
- Its a beautiful excuse to get outdoors more!
Location will be on campus – exact building/room TBA
See ya there 🙂
