The weekend will follow the rough format below, with majority of the theory occurring on Saturday. We’ll then give you the chance to practice these skills out on the rock or in a canyon on Sunday.
Saturday 1st | Sunday 2nd | ||
Canyoning Lvl 1 Workshop | Climbing Lvl 1 Workshop | Canyoning Lvl 1 Workshop | Climbing Lvl 1 Workshop |
Canyoning Lvl 2 Workshop | Climbing Lvl 2 Workshop | Canyoning Lvl 2 Workshop | Climbing Lvl 2 Workshop |
Participants will be assigned a group based on their response to the Trip Leader Progression Form, and will stay with their group the entire weekend.
An outline of the skills in each level can be found here UNSWOC Trip Leader Skillsets V2.
The format of each two day workshop is up to the discretion of the TLs running the workshops, and could include clifftop workshops, at location scenarios, or workshops at the campsite.
Number of participants depends on the number of TL’s available to help run the workshops.
All workshops will be run around the upper Blue Mtns and we will be camping at Cathedral Reserve on the Saturday night.
