TL and TLIT Intensive Training Weekend

Hi all,

On the long weekend of 8/9th June, UNSWOC is planning to do an intensive 2 day TL and TLIT training and refresher course.

This weekend will aim to upskill our TL’s and TLIT’s on skills required to lead trips, including skills from basic rockcraft to vertical rescue.

A preliminary outline of the weekend is as follows:

We will also try to get some afternoon workshop going, teaching skills such as navigation and rope theory.

Participants will be assigned a group based on their response to the Trip Leader Progression Form, and will stay with their group the entire weekend.

The format of each two day workshop is up to the discretion of the TLs running the workshops, and could include clifftop workshops, at location scenarios, or workshops at the campsite.

Number of participants depends on the number of TL’s available to help run the workshops.

All workshops will be run around the upper Blue Mtns and we will be camping at Cathedral Reserve on the Saturday night.
