Ello, Ello!

Cindy and I (Zee) are leading a trip on Sunday through Tiger Snake Canyon!

Tiger Snake Canyon is a narrow, twisting tributary on the Newnes Plateau. It features two constrictions and a couple of abseils.. The lower is deep, dark and spectacular.

More info and pics can be found here: ozultimate.com/…ack_notes/tiger_snake.htm

This is a dry canyon so don’t expect to get too wet, but expect at least wet feet/legs. It will still be chilly however so bring warm clothes. e.g. Thermals beneath your clothes with a rain jacket on top.

It’s alright if you have not abseiled before, we can show you the ropes but please indicate in the comment box whether you have abseiled before and how experienced you are, we will try have a balance of people.

What to Expect:

  • 10kms of bush bashing and lots of walking up and down
  • Abseiling and heights!
  • Beautiful slot canyons
  • Hopefully no tiger snakes!
  • Knee deep wading

Please fill out the form when you sign up and comment with your experience (if you don’t have rope skills, just comment what other outdoor activities you have done) whether you have access to a car and your favourite outdoors snack (preferably also bring it to the canyon 😀)!
If you haven’t already added a method of contacting you to the website please add to the comments.

Timing:

We will meet at the old coach road carpark around 9am Sunday to do a gear check before setting off. Its full day canyon so expect to be back at the cars around dusk and as such we cannot start late!

We are car dependant at the moment so if you own/have access to a car (that can go on unpaved roads) please please please let us know!
Some folks may camp in the area before hand to minimize travel on the day.
