Forecast is looking great for this Sunday, so let’s go climbing! – SUNDAY THE 9th –
Kieran, Henry and I are heading to Bourbon Wall, a great crag with awesome climbs. Bourbon wall is a local crag so it’s a <1 hr drive from UNSW. The easiest grade is 17, although the main grades go from 19 to 24. No outdoors climbing experience is needed, we will set up top ropes for everyone and teach you the basic climbing knots. However, make sure you can climb grade 17+!
We will drive there on Sunday morning and climb until the sun sets. We will car-pool to get there, so let me know if you have a car (and you get preference)! 🙂 You will need:
- Harness + locker carabiner + belay device (atc or grigri)
- Helmet
- Climbing shoes + chalk bag
- Water + food
- Warm clothes + good-grip shoes to walk to the crag
- Sunscreen, head-torch, tape, chocolate.
That’s it, get keen for an awesome day of climbing! To get accepted, send me a message (Maria LC) with your climbing experience (if any) + whether you have a car!
