SUNDAY BL – Multipitch Climbing

You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign
up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just
makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders.

On the SUNDAY of Boree Log myself (Maria) and Scott will be leading a multipitch climbing trip provided the weather is fair enough for multipitching (if it’s not, we can always go cragging). Multipitching is heaps fun and not many things are more beautiful than being in the middle of a stunning wall!

What you need to know to join this trip is:

1) how to lead belay well (this means belaying someone who is leading, not top roping)

2) what multi pitching means (it’s okay if you have never done it before, we are happy to teach)

3) ideally, can climb grade 18 outdoors (but if you can’t, write your grades below and we may figure something out)

We will meet up at 9:00am on Sunday morning at the Boree Log campground near the trailer. Any gear that you require will be collected together on Sunday morning from the trailer.

• Gear: harness, helmet, climbing shoes, ATC/Grigri, safety sling, biners
• What to bring: sunscreen, 2L water (minimum!), food for the day, sporty clothes, a warm jacket, a day backpack to fit all your stuff inside, comfortable shoes to hike in, snacks to share, etc).
