Hey All!
Jas and I will be leading a trip to Lockley’s Pylon on Sunday 23rd March (Sunday of Boree Log)! Come along to enjoy gorgeous views of the Grose Valley as you traverse through the heath to a small peak that overlooks the sandstone cliffs of Mt Hay and Mt Banks (see photos!)
Walk Details:
- Distance – 7km return
- Time – 2-3 hours
What to Bring:
- Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Daypack
- Personal Medication (if required)
- Head-torch
- Lunch & Trail Snacks
- Wet Weather Gear (just in case)
- Sturdy Hiking Shoes
- Jacket/Windbreaker (may get windy)
Getting There:
- Leave Sunday morning after clean-up. Drive 45 minutes to Leura before driving inland 20 minutes to the trailhead (Google Maps: Lockley’s Pylon Trailhead)
- Once we have finished the hike, we can head back to Sydney via Leura

If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.
