You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. If you get rejected then you can sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.
Please read the entire post and answer all questions before signing up.
Hi all!
Sam and I (Katie) are running a trip on Sunday of Boree Log to kayak Hampden bridge to Bendeela campsite (flow dependent). This is an intermediate kayaking trip as flow dependent there will be grade 1/2 rapids (fast sections of rapid flow where you may be unstable in your boat).
Participants need to be competent swimmers and kayakers and good at handling cold water. You don’t need to be able to roll a kayak but previous kayaking experience is a necessity.

- Helmet
- White water kayak + spray skirt (and maybe a raft if we can get fixed)

- Kayaking gear not provided:
- Emergency blanket (You must carry one on every club canyoning trip. You must buy one from the gear cupboard for $5 cash or most outdoor stores)

- Wetsuit/thermal to keep warm (the club has some but these are mostly to canyon)

- Wool socks
- Thermals to wear under your life jacket
- A windbreaker for if it gets cold
