[FULL] SUNDAY BL – Climbing at Babylon Areas (Beginner/Intermediate)

This trip is only for Boree Log participants, check your trip requests to see if you’ve been accepted. If you get rejected then you can sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.

Angela, Amelia and I (Mali) will be heading over to Babylon Areas on the Boree Log Sunday. The aim is to check out a bit more of an adventurous Nowra sport crag, but from the looks of the guide there’s plenty of easy-moderate-hard climbing to be had. This trip will be perfect for you if you want to be climbing and chilling in nature, and not have your climbing defined by the jetski soundscapes of thompson’s point 🙂

We’ll meet by the trailer at the campground on Sunday morning and carpool. At the end of the day Ange and I won’t be heading back to Sydney, so people with cars will be prioritised!

Most gear is provided from the trailer including a harness, helmet, safety sling, locking carabiners, belay device, ropes and draws but you’ll need to bring:

• Sunscreen
• 2L water (stay hydrated!)
• Food, snacks to share
• Comfy clothes and shoes
• Warm jacket
• Medication if required

Optional to bring:

• CLIMBING SHOES (not essential, but you’ll have a much better time if you bring some. They can be hired from the club gear nights.)
• Chalk bagIn the comments please let us know
• Your climbing experience (indoor/outdoor, grades, ability to lead climb/belay),
• If you have a car and how many spots you have,
• Your favourite mesopotamian city,
• And if you’ve completed your early vote for the Referendum!
