SUNDAY BL – Beginner – Canyoning Lower Macquarie Pass (Group 2)

NOTE: Registration for all Boree Log day trips (like this one) will open on Tuesday at 6 pm. You MUST already be accepted onto the main Boree Log event in order to attend.

Come join Gabe and I (Oliver) on an awesome, wet and not quite as long a day canyoning down Macquarie Pass..

**Requirements**: be a competent swimmer + know how to abseil. We can briefly refresh on abseiling skills if needed.

GEAR (Items with (*) can be borrowed from the club on Sunday morning but bring your own if you have it, there may not be enough):

• Harness *
• Helmet *
• Figure 8 Device or ATC *
• Prussik and biner *
• Safety sling and biner *
• Wetsuit *

WHAT TO WEAR:

• Enclosed shoes for canyoning (will get wet)
• Swimmers / thermals

WHAT TO CARRY:

• Emergency blanket (can be purchased for $5 from the gear cupboard)
• Sunscreen
• Lunch (in a dry bag) and 2L of water
• Dry layer(s) (thermals or woollen jumper – must be wool to keep you warm when wet)
• Drybag
• Backpack (25-40L, will get wet)
• Headtorch + spare batteries
• Medications/epipens/first aid kit if you need them!

LEAVE IN THE CAR:

• Dry change of clothes
• Dry shoes
• Dry towel
