Hey Team!
For the best dam Canyon of the weekend, come along to Starlight canyon on Boree Log Saturday
Starlight is a full day canyon that has some excellent abseiling, boulder scrambling and a bat cave to boot.
Fitness is a big one as the day starts with a big hike up hill. Other than that the abseils are fairly strait forward. No swimming required.
What to bring:
- Head torch (with full batteries)
- Harness
- Carabiners
- Descender
- Helmet
- Proper dam shoes. Volleys are ideal, but runners with good grip (that aren’t slippery when wet) also work. No sandals or crocs. Sandals as they are unsafe and crocs being visually horrific.
- Clothing that you can hike & scramble in & that is not too cold / heavy when wet (there may be deep wades). Please do not wear jeans!
- Spare jacket / jumper in a plastic bag
- Sun protection! (sunscreen, hat)
- 2 litres of water
- Lunch & snacks (for 10hrs)
- Drinks for the trip leaders. Luke prefers a lager from the south east of Tasmania whilst Katie is more of a Merlot from Tuscany lass. I assume. Dark Spirits also accepted.Any dire, desperate and/or life or death questions, my number is 0449876605.-Luke.
