Sport Climbing @Bardens – SUNDAY BOREE LOG

Hi everyone! Get ready for a great day of climbing, destroy your fingers skin, and get icecream and glory!

Kieran, Nicola and I are running a sport climbing trip to Bardens Lookout on SUNDAY for Boree Log. You must be approved for Boree Log to attend. Bardens is a great place for both beginners and intermediate climbers (have a look at the crag! https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/blue-mountains/bardens-lookout) and no technical skills are needed since we will set up top ropes and teach the basic knots. However, you should be able to top-rope AT LEAST 16-18 INDOORS to make the most of it!! If you are a competent leader and would like to climb harder, that’s perfect! If you are building up your confidence in leading you may get the chance to lead some easy grades as well, just let us know!

If you are in, you will need:

• Climbing shoes*
• 1 locking carabiners*
• 1 ATC/belay device*
• Harness*
• Helmet*
• Chalk (optional)
• Water (2L)
• Lunch and snacks – be generous with snacks, if I get hungry I get grumpy
• Jacket cos it does get cold
• Sunscreen
• $5-$10 in cash – Petrol money for your driver

*Can be borrowed from the club on Sunday morning. We will arrange the gear together. If you have your own gear, PLEASE BRING IT since the club has limited supplies 🙂
