Dan, I (Rory) and if circumstances permit, my dog Loki (Known by Brandon to some), will be leading a beginner-friendly hike through the Porters Pass and Colliers Causeway track in Blackheath.
It is possibly my favourite day hike in the Blue Mountains, featuring waterfalls, a micro-canyon, an optional swim, rainforests, dry heath, clifftop,ย andย cliffside paths!!!
It has a total length of about 7km and elevation gain of 400m, and I expect it to take about 5 hours.
This trail will require good fitness as there are steep sections, however we will not be in a rush. For most this will be a laid back hike, with plenty of time for hanging out and recreation.
Check out the track here โย https://hikingtheworld.blog/2023/05/14/ar-porters-pass-colliers-causeway

- Sun protection: sunscreen + hat

So, if you are keen for a hike, please tell usย your hiking experienceย so far, if you could be an animal for a day what you would chooseย (just so we know youโve read all this information) andย whether you have a carย in your comment belowโฆ and get in early before signups are full.
