[FULL] SATURDAY BL – BARDENS LOOKOUT Beginner Sport Climbing

Arrivaderchi amigos,

Maddi and I will be taking a bunch of chillers to Little Triggers wall around Bardens Lookout crag. This is a beginner friendly trip and a great opportunity to meet new people, eat snacks, learn some rope skills and most importantly, have a mandatory view-appreciation stop on the wall. We will be setting up top ropes but will be very happy to go over some basic lead climbing skills.

To bring:

• Clothes appropriate for climbing (should be comfortable, allow unrestricted movement, and be alright if they get dirty/torn)
• Sunscreen
• Warm weather gear incase it gets cold
• Day backpack to carry your belongings
• Climbing harness
• Climbing helmet
• Climbing shoes
• Belay device (eg ATC) and locking carabiner

Items in bold can be borrowed on the day if you do not have your own. You DO NOT need to collect them from the gear cupboard prior to Boree Log.

***You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly***
