Hey Everyone!
Dan Burton, Rhys Creer and I (Raine), will be running a sport climbing trip to Barden’s Lookout on Saturday. This is a fun intermediate area with lots of range, so we would prefer you have some foundational climbing skills. We will set up some top ropes and there may also be opportunities to learn to lead routes if we have time and space. We will preferentially be going to Little Trigger’s Wall, but may pivot to Historic Wells if busy. There are many underrated classics there that I think people should try.
What you need to bring:
Sunscreen
2L water (minimum!)
Food for the day
Sporty, comfy clothes
Jacket (just in case you get cold)
Day backpack to fit all your stuff
Chalk (optional) (Please tell me your favourite chalk brand)
Bring the following items if you have them, if not we can provide:
Harness
Helmet
Belay device (eg ATC)
Locking carabiner
Climbing shoes
You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.
