Hello UNSWOCers,
The brilliant Sammy, Mira, Stephen… and also myself will be leading a hiking trip along Causeway Creek in the Jamison Valley for those UNSWOCers who are keen for a well earned study break. There will be plenty of off track walking, and a chance to learn and practice your navigation (OMG yay!) in preparation for the upcoming Rogaine (8th May be there). This will be an INTERMEDIATE walk (But all are welcome! Just message Brendan and ask!) a good level of fitness is required (We’ll be at a relaxed pace but off track) and please pack accordingly for an overnight hike with off track creek walking (If you’re keen please message Brendan and see if you’d like to come)
Trip intentions: Causeway creek is located in the Jamison Valley and will provide stunning scenery and interesting features. Be prepared to love/hate Furber Steps as we descend into the valley, explore the creek off track and then cut back to the Ruined Castle Gully setting camp along the way. Best of all, everyone will get a chance to practice Nav Yahoo!
When? Departing Saturday morning early, staying overnight in the Jamison Valley and then returning Sunday afternoon/evening. Please comment below re car pooling/cars.
