DESCRIPTION:Hello UNSWOCers\,\n\nThe brilliant Sammy\, Mira\, Stephen... an
 d also myself will be leading a hiking trip along Causeway Creek in the Ja
 mison Valley for those UNSWOCers who are keen for a well earned study brea
 k. There will be plenty of off track walking\, and a chance to learn and p
 ractice your navigation (OMG yay!) in preparation for the upcoming Rogaine
  (8th May be there). This will be an INTERMEDIATE walk (But all are welcom
 e! Just message Brendan and ask!) a good level of fitness is required (We'
 ll be at a relaxed pace but off track) and please pack accordingly for an 
 overnight hike with off track creek walking (If you're keen please message
  Brendan and see if you'd like to come)\n\nTrip intentions: Causeway creek
  is located in the Jamison Valley and will provide stunning scenery and in
 teresting features. Be prepared to love/hate Furber Steps as we descend in
 to the valley\, explore the creek off track and then cut back to the Ruine
 d Castle Gully setting camp along the way. Best of all\, everyone will get
  a chance to practice Nav Yahoo!\n\nWhen? Departing Saturday morning early
 \, staying overnight in the Jamison Valley and then returning Sunday after
 noon/evening. Please comment below re car pooling/cars.\n\nPacking List:\n
 (less is more\, lighter is better. -- Please ensure you have organized all
  the gear necessary below. Gear Cupboard is available on Thursday from 4-5
 pm at Sam Cracknell Pavilion for a small deposit bring $$moneyz$$)\n\n- Ap
 propriate footwear (n socks) - joggers/ trail runners (please don't wear b
 oots - in the creek they'll become portable puddles)\n- Overnight pack (40
 -50L is perfect)\n- Navigation gear - Toppo map (JAMISON/ KATOOMBA)\, Comp
 ass\, pencil (essential if you want to practice)\n- Appropriate hiking clo
 thing (Think long sleeves\, quick drying appropriate to being wet creek wa
 lking if needed)\n- Warm and dry layers (Jumper\, fleece\, beanie and dry 
 clothes to sleep in)\n- Rain Coat\n- Sleeping bag &amp\; Matt (if you don'
 t have these can be borrowed from the club's Thursday Gear Shed)\n- Tent/s
 helter (if you don't have these can be borrowed from the club's Thursday G
 ear Shed - the lighter the better)\n- DRY BAG - you need to keep all your 
 precious gear warm and dry.(can be borrowed from the club's Thursday Gear 
 Shed)\n\n- FOOD! (Bring your own snacks\, breaky coffee/tea etc and lunch 
 but pooling dinners might be a good idea to reduce weight - see the group 
 chat)\n- Cooking equipment (lightweight stove if you have\, light bowl/cup
  and a spork)\n\nAs always\, please be COVID safe. Don't attend if you're
