Come down the Pipeline with Dave, Izzy and I. Easily the most fun trip leaders for the whole weekend ;).
Pipeline is probably the most accessible canyon in the Wolgan Valley. There is a 2-3km walk from the campsite to the top of the pipeline track. We will then traverse across to the canyon and make our way down a number of shutes, climbs and abseils. You wont need a wet-suit for this one, but you will probably still get wet. Once we exit the canyon, we retrace our steps back along the bottom of the pipeline track and return to camp. See the map below. Please bring:
- Thermals (these will help with some of the short wades/swims)
- Woolen socks (no cotton, please)
- Lunch and other snacks
- Water (at least 1L, but 2L is preferable)
- Closed toe shoes such a joggers (runners). If you wear thongs or sandals, we am leaving you at camp.
- A suitable backpack to carry everything
- Old cloths (some of the pools might be a little manky due to the lack of recent rain)
