This weekend, Cameron and I are leading a cruisy overnight hike to Brisbane Water National Park (nowhere near Brisbane), walking from Pearl Beach to Mt Wondabyne Campsite along a section of the Great North Walk. Get keen for some spectacular ocean and Hawkesbury views and a good time!
It shouldn’t be too arduous but covers a bit of ground so let us know your hiking experience in the comments (all g if you are a beginner tho!). We are planning to drive to the start of the hike (Pearl Beach) and return the next day so please also let us know if you are able to drive people!
You will need:
- Hiking boots/shoes
- Tent
- Sleeping mat
- Sleeping bag (that will actually keep you warm)
- Warm clothes
- Rain gear
- Head torch (with batteries)
- Food for 2x lunch, 1x breakfast, 1x dinner
- stove and gas for cooking
- MINUMUM 4 litres of water (NB. There may be very limited to no water along the hike)
- Personal first aid kit
- Toothbrush and toiletries
- sunscreen/hat/sunnies
