What’s up Boaters,
There’s been plenty of rain over the past week or two and the river gods are pleased with our patience.
We’ll be heading out this Sunday for a paddle out at Penrith Weir. The section we are doing is good for beginners and upper beginners as well as intermediate paddlers who are keen to get on the water. If we haven’t paddled together, please message me on Facebook to chat about whether this paddle is suitable for you – it will primarily depend on how many experienced paddlers are able to join as a matter of safety.
We will meet in the morning out at Penrith Weir and do a couple laps, spend time playing, and practice useful skills.
What gear the club can provide:
Boat, paddle, PFD, helmet, spray deck
What you need to bring
Warm clothes for after the river, wet clothes for on the river, wetsuit or dry top, shoes for wearing in the boat with good grip, dry bag, snacks, lunch, water bottle with carabiner.
