If you’re new to rogaining or need a refresher on navigation skills, this is for you! It’ll also be a good place to find people for your team 🙂

Emily and Linna will be running a workshop in preparation for the upcoming Paddy Pallin Rogaine taking place on Sunday the 16th of June.

The workshop will cover route planning and key navigation skills in the context of Rogaining, including:

  • What is Rogaining?
  • Rogaining strategy and gear
  • How to read a topographic map
  • Bearings and converting them – grid and magnetic
  • Pacing – how many steps you take to walk 100m

We’ll be doing theory in a classroom at UNSW Law Building (room TBA) then heading outside to take some bearings and pacings.

Please bring these if you have them:

  • Compass
  • Headtorch

Hope to see you on Wednesday night, all is welcome!
