-map reading basics (scales, symbols, contours, grids, features)

-compasses and bearings

Wednesday 28^th August – Centennial Park – Jenny and Alie

-relating map to ground, pacing

-uses and limitations of GPS on a smartphone

Wednesday 4^th September – UNSW – Jenny and Ash

-route planning, route choice, estimating time and distance

-catching points, aiming off, handrails, relocation

Friday 13^th September – mini Rogaine (location TBC)

Put your newly learned skills to the test with an UNSWOC mini Rogaine, all welcome! Prizes to be won!!

Saturday 21^st September – NSW Rogaine Champs. Yengo National Park

We’ll get some UNSWOC teams together to put that navigation into practice out in the bush!
