Hi y’all!!

Maddi and I (Jayden) will be running an INTERMEDIATE multi-pitch climbing trip this Sunday (23rd) at Mt Gibraltar.

We will have our legendary TLIT Stephen G with us and *IMPORTANT NOTE* will expect that you are comfortable with the following skills:

  • Lead climbing and lead belaying
  • Basic abseiling skills
  • Indoor/outdoor sport climbing comfortably around grade 18-20

These are important to ensure the trip runs safely! Please feel free to contact one of us if you have any questions :))

Cheers Lucas + Linna for a great pic of Weld Party

WHAT TO BRING

  • Climbing harness*
  • Climbing helmet*
  • Belay device + two locking carabiners*
  • Safety sling + locking carabiner*
  • Prusik
  • Climbing shoes* (COMFORTABLE – i.e. not your aggressive indoor bouldering shoes, you’ll be standing in them all day)
  • 2L of water
  • Lunch, snacks
  • Medication, if needed
  • A small backpack (assume you’ll need to climb with all your belongings, so don’t bring everything but the kitchen sink)
  • Wind breaker or jumper (it can get very windy)
  • $5-10 for your driver

* Asterisked items can be borrowed from the Gear Cupboard on Thursdays, remember to bring cash for a deposit (given we are posting this late, we should be able to sort gear for you but please let us know in your comment what you need)

The trip leaders will have a First-Aid Kit and a personal locator beacon, please let us know of any medical conditions/ injuries as well :))

In the comment box please tell us: your indoor/outdoor climbing experience (grades, climbing frequency, whether you’ve climbed a multi before), if you’re willing to drive and whether you’re a yay or nay for sparkling water!
