Hey Guys n Gals!
Loads of people have expressed keen interest to learn Trad climbing, so I’m super excited to get more people safely into the radness and unbridled epicness and freedom of traditional climbingness.
PART I – Placing Gear and Building Anchors.
PART II – Mock and Real trad leading having experienced trad climbers checking gear (another day, stay tuned)
The most important thing in trad climbing is staying alive, while simply not falling does help, having bomber gear, many backups and super sound anchors is what matters most, so join us at MAROUBRA QUARRY RESERVE FRIDAY MORNING 9am to learn and practise placing gear/building anchors. We can have a bouldering sesh in the arvo too!
NOTE: You need to be an intermediate climber, aka can lead/belay sport, have abseiled etc. this is not for beginners sorry. Please message me if you’re unsure
If you’re not sure if you want to get into trad I would recommend coming along anyway to check it out and many of the skills cross over to canyoning, building top rope anchors and safety in general.
