Hi everyone 🙂

This trip is aimed at people who ALREADY know how to lead climb and belay, and want to start transitioning from leading in the gym to outdoor lead climbing safely*

The purpose of this trip:

  • practicing your lead climbing outdoors under supervision
  • learning to clean (taking your gear off a sport route)
  • discussing gear stuff: e.g. ropes and dirt, using one side of a quickdraw for rope consistently, 90deg bolt plates etc.
  • and (possibly) how to create a BASIC top rope anchor

If you’re keen to come, please PM me:

  1. your leading experience:
    1. how long you’ve been leading for and
    2. what grade you climb
  2. if you have a car

Venue TBA soon. Most probably somewhere in the Blue Mountains

I’ll keep the number of spaces small for now, and we’ll re-evaluate depending on who signs up and your experience levels.

*i should clarify that this well help start a transition to outdoors, but more training is likely to be necessary and we’d recommend going outdoors with more experienced people until you are very confident
